Really not sure 4-5-1 is the way to go especially at home

5 midfielders and we are getting over run in midfield.

Keith Paul Stroud is a professional English football referee who officiates in the Football League and Premier League. He is from Bournemouth, England. Wikipedia

Clutching and straws come to mind.

Quite simply, we weren't at our best tonight and produced hardly anything in front of goal.

Bournemouth deserved the win tbh., they should have been 2-3 up but missed some easy chances. The midfield was slow with no one making any decent passes for the strikers. We came back into the game in the last 15 mins, but just couldn't find the net. As for the ref, if you can call him that, enough said.

We were slow all over the park. That look Premiership ready whilst we look like we have a FFP obligation still dogging us.

Over the last ten years QPR have had 21 fixtures with Keith Stroud in charge. Resulting in 13 defeats, 5 draws and three wins. In that time we have had six penalties awarded against us and none for. With Dozzell tonight we have now had five players sent off, and only one dismissal for the opposition.

This Bournemouth born official has had 11 Bournemouth games in his career ... They have now won ten and drawn one.

I have taken this taken from another site.

We all tend to view our own team through rose tinted glasses, but .... does this seem fair, or right to anyone?

At work, I have to declare any conflicts of interest. Why hasn't Keith Stroud been asked to do the same?

I think there is a question here about the integrity of the competition. I certainly would not expect a ref from Shepherds Bush to be officiating at any of our matches.

That said, I thought Bournemouth were worthy winners tonight, but the officials must be above reproach.

Aside from looking rusty and off the pace, there were still the same issues.

1. We give up too much space in front of the back 3/4
2. We watch the ball to much, and don't mark closely enough... see Kakay when he just let the sub just run unchallenged behind him but missed the open goal... lol
3. Johannson thinks he is some sort of play maker, glory balls to just about anyone who wasn't in Hoops. His corners lacked any whip or pace.
4. Adomah makes a difference and should start but maybe he is coming back from a knock,
5. Defensively 3 Centre backs just doesn't seem to work for us... Rather play with an anchor midfielder in front of a four. It seems that we get lost in knowing if we are defending space or trying to defend the opposition players

I though Bournemouth were not that much better than us, but should have won 3-0. It just didn't click for us today.

Disgraceful scenes at the end.

What has happened to Dom Ball? He filled in that role very effectively. He has started 13 games this season - we won 7 drew 2 and lost 4. His last start was at Peterborough. Since then a few late substitute appearances. I'm scratching my head.

They had a bit more about them and they were streetwise. They’re a very good side and we weren’t at our best, but we were still in the game so I’m taking some positives from that.

The 3 CB thing is a tricky one. Our great run of form last season coincided with us switching to that system. But I agree that it doesn't really seem to be working this season. I'm not sure what the answer is.
