European Super League

Post by Andy_N19 » Sun Apr 18, 2021 4:08 pm

«Should this happen, we wish to reiterate that we, UEFA, the English FA, RFEF, FIGC, the Premier League, LaLiga, Lega Serie A, but also FIFA and all our member associations, we will remain united in our efforts to stop this cynical project, a project based on the self-interest of a few clubs at a time when society needs solidarity more than ever »

I agree and if it goes ahead we may as well all shut up shop and peer at some
kind of cynical cash laden circus. sick aniwall

I read the story and it smacks of a battle of the pots & the kettles.
It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

Just sums it up really. On the news this morning had a Liverpool supporter from Dubai all in favour. When asked about no relegation he replied when was the last time the "top six" were relegated. Forgetting of course the threat is there so they had to make some effort. Under the Super league proposals it does not matter where they finish.

Chelsea and MC bottling it now. It won't go away though. Like the Exterminator "I'll be back". All bottling it now. They should be punished regardless.

...these people are clearly thinking only and exclusively in terms of business and money, completely forgetting that football is for the fans....

I am delighted by the reaction shown by all the fans, from all the clubs involved, united in refusing and condemning the entire matter, reading of a Liverpool fun saying that he would have more likely turned into supporting Everton than following his club into this league....

Now I am curious to see if those who attempted this break will go unpunished or getting just slapped on the hands.....I would love to see them given a good and strong message and example....
