The best thing about yesterday...

Post by Wegerle » Sat Mar 30, 2024 3:25 pm

...was the incredible passion shown by our players at the final whistle.
All the huddles and cuddles, with the subs joining in, showed that the squad really cared.
Very encouraging to see. Our fans weren't bad either yesterday.
We seem to slowly be getting there and I'm actually looking forward to the next game.

I don't remember the players doing an “encore” lap of honour before.
That said, I can barely remember the last home win so perhaps I'm wrong.

If you watch the clip from behind Dunne , watch Chair on the edge of the box as the ball goes in!

None of them could quite believe it. I couldn’t either. I wonder how many times out of a hundred tries that actually goes in from him?!

I noticed Ilias during the goal celebration, instead of jumping on Jimmy with the others, he was wandering about with his hands on his head, as though in disbelief at what had just happened!
