Frey penalty, not impressed.
Not sure why he changed a winning team.

We were absolutely robbed there on so many levels. But my word, the improvement in this team under Marti is incredible. Keep playing like that and we won't have too much to worry about.
This. The team is buzzing again.

No doubt we did more than enough to win, but we just didn't get the rub. Not sure we were robbed
Fair enough. Robbed is probably an overstatement. Caught up in the excitement of us finally showing some genuine fight in the last few weeks I guess!
Oh I feel you, and it's so disappointing we didn't get the win we deserved, but on recent performances I think we can easily climb out of danger.

I'd have taken a point before the game. But it does kind feel like a loss after just how dominant we were.

If we play like this for the remaining games we should stay up comfortably.

Kipre just made himself a QPR enemy for life. That hand ball off the line goes down for me in the same vein as the Maradona and Henry handballs.
On Kipre, of course it was a dishonest thing that, with VAR, would have resulting in a Pen and dismissal.

Having done it though, he is hardly going to own up to it.

If a QPR defender had done the same thing we would be cheekily smiling and thanking our good fortune whilst feeling a bit guilty.

Kipre obviously came in for some abuse near the end (Y-Block?) and just stood there. Hope it was just standard abuse and nothing else.

I think the abuse was for shoving Field..? I think it was, in to the advertising boards. So not totally unwarranted and to stand and goad the fans just rubs people the wrong way.

...I hate when I see a penalty taken so soft....a penalty IMO MUST BE A MISSILE into the goal, so fast and powerful that the keeper has to be
scared even to try to touch the ball...and if he does he should be thrown inside the net with ball...

Really ? Everyone can see it when it’s played back in slow motion on Sky afterwards, but how many honestly saw it in real time ?
I don’t think a single QPR player appealed for it, and there were about four in close proximity.

I know people love to slag off the officials, sometimes with good reason, but we should cut them some slack with this one.

I tried to make the same point earlier in thread only less succinctly.

Thought the ref wasn't bad, just average, and there was some doubt about the penalty he did award.

Take your point but it would be nice if the FL could retrospectively punish the player using the SKY footage as evidence.

It's not the players or the crowds job to referee. If the referee didn't see the hand ball, the lines man or the 4th official should have. Just imagine this being the last game of the season and you need 3 points to stay up.
Officials can't see every single detail but punching the ball over the bar by a player should always have consequences even it means play being stopped 5 minutes later to rectify the situation.

Sorry BR, I didn’t scroll through the whole thread. You’re right about the penalty that we were given being dubious too.

There’s no VAR in the Championship. They can’t change the decision because Sky subsequently point out that they’ve got it wrong.

I think two players were suspended? Colback for sure.
