Warnock

Post by pindarus » Mon Mar 04, 2024 12:09 pm

Is steadily taking Aberdeen down to the relegation zone -no victories since he arrived apart from against Bonnyrigg Rose.

Now where are all the posters who were clamouring "get Warnock back " at the height of our troubles?

That's too easy. If we don't stay up can I come back to you and say we should have gone for Warnock?

At the height of our troubles I would have welcomed him back. I also think he could have kept us up in his own way but we will never know because he isn't our manager.
I'm very happy with Marti now and believe that Marti is much more a long term solution but to point at Warnock and Aberdeen whilst we still aren't safe ourselves makes no sense I'm afraid.

If we stay up, I can see Marti being the type of manager who in the future would easily get a job at a mid-table premier league team, like Everton, wolves, .....or Chelsea 😂

Which is a danger for the club. just watching the Sheff Utd vs Arse "match",
we'd be able to beat United.
Marti best manager we've had in years and will surely be on the radar of other
clubs if we stay up which is looking more and more likely.

By the way how can you be leaving a match after 25 minutes?

I didn't think there was a manager in all creation that could get these players up and moving.
Marti must be a very special guy.
NW a different type and special in his own right.

Really don't see the point in this thread. Warnock has played 7, won 1, drawn 2, lost 4.
Aberdeen brought him in to try and save them from relegation as he's a manager with a track record of success in the past. If he fails, it could be the underlying issues with the club were too great even for a manager of his caliber to handle, but celebrating his shortcomings or having an "I told you so" thread is pretty pathetic.

Sheff Utd didn't even turn up in the first place.

I was one of the people calling for a Warnock return, so far Marti has done ok but we are still a long way from safe and the sudden assumption that he could be a mid table Prem manager is fanciful at best as I doubt there would be any takers , when he got the job I said I hoped he would be a success but thought him a huge risk in the nut house league that is the Championship . Another big test tonight and at the moment it’s too close to call who will survive but if we don’t I still think we should have gone for someone who knows the league inside out .

There are plenty of them, and a fair few are struggling. Knowing the league doesn't guarantee success.

It's fair to say, our woes on the pitch have in part at least been caused by the chaos off it. Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp or Alex Furguson would have done well to keep their heads above water having to contend with that back room mess.

Obviously we'll never know if NW would've staved off relegation.
Equally obviously, if we do go down, the blame can't be laid at Marti's door.
GA and the chaos that has reigned at the club will have done for us.

I'm just hoping the idiots out there relent from banging on about Warnock
being able to save us.

Our bunch of players were genuinely hopeless at the start of the season,
Marti has basically injected this bunch with a Lazarus infusion, if we go down,
it's really the fault of Ainsworth and the shenanigans going on at the club generally
beforehand.
