Also strongly agree with Philip. This has been a pretty regrettable exchange and I think it's best to draw a line under it

Anyway, to the question in the OP: No.

Maddening though it often is, our defence has been one of the best performing in the division since MC took over. We also have a positive goal difference in that time. The winter reinforcements all look useful, and the recent changes to the way Armstrong is deployed suggest to me that he could really start kicking on now. So I don't have an idea if we will catch Millwall or anyone specific, but I don't think we are going down.

I have voted Yes to the prospect of relegation, but as 222 has mentioned today, how can a team
play like dogsh!t one day and then put in a very creditable performance as we did on Saturday?

I really should wait until I walk out of Loftus Road on Saturday evening to re-vote on this.

It may not be pretty. But I think this team has not got enough about it to get sufficient draws and wins, amongst some dissapoiting losses, to escape (and it is an escape!) relegation. Kind of 2 steps back, 3 foward to a points tally just good enough to get above the line.

That's it really: they need to be at the top of their ability and fitness for the rest of the season. There's no need to list the players that might fall short of that happy combination.

What if we play our joker?

We have a very tough March fixture list. If we can beat Rotherham and get out of the zone I think psychologically it would be a massive boost. If we can't then I think we are done, and this is typically the type of game we struggle in.

Yes, this inability to beat the league's poorer teams needs to end starting Saturday.
I watched the Bristol game on the offish earlier. The first half I thought was poor and Bristol seemed surprisingly cautious.
Second half a different kettle of fish, we played really well. We've just got to keep this going.

If Chair is suspended or released I think we are doomed to relegation

Losing chair would push me towards relegation

Since he is appealing the sentence there will be no final judgement until that is complete and that is more than likely to take a few months. I doubt it will be over before our season is.

You’ve got to think that if it was a crown court conviction here, that would force the club’s hand regardless of any appeal. I haven’t seen the evidence of course, but i don’t think Belgium is known for its flawed legal system. I hope the legal process brings about justice, but you can’t help feeling that it’s a bit cynical by the club relying on an appeal because they know he’s vital to us staying up. I want us to stay up too, so I’m glad I’m not the one having to make these difficult moral judgments.

I'm also wondering what this does to the already fragile self confidence of the rest of the team?

The other teams around us just will not give up. Could very well go down to the wire.

People say don't look at other results, it's what WE do that matters. You can't help it though can you ?

So many clubs in Ship street. A while ago it looked like just us, Hudds and Wednesday.
