Losing Cannon is a dent in our armoury and I do feel a little less confident now, Kakay and Smyth is a weak area for us.
If we have a bad start I am hoping that Marti will quickly change us to a back three.

Marti just walked around the pitch clapping, waving and high fiving the fans.
Nice touch.

Not a lot to say on that 1st half. Lots of huffing and puffing but at least we aren't losing which is an achievement in itself!

Is Chair injured?
Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out.

I think they've been quite good. Willock is more of a problem on the other side. They know he doesn't want to use his left.

It's better than *that*, but not many chances, tbh.

Another point and a rare clean sheet. Not unhappy with that.

Agreed but frustrating nevertheless.
Dykes poor again, I know the service he receives could be much better but good strikers will create an opening for themselves over ninty minutes. That non pass to Willock was incredible.
Pleased Ozzy had a good game.

It shows just how far we have declined the past years that we are happy and relieved these days when we draw with one of worst teams in the league last week and again with an average, mid-table team at home this week.
Zero shots on target again today.
We look slightly more compact and difficult to beat which is a good thing.
Our lack of quality players showing again in set pieces, passing and shooting.
A few positives but if it's enough?

And also on the plus side Wednesday and Rotherham got hammered and Huddersfield lost.

He's had just over a week with the players. We've gone from 6 losses on the bounce to not losing in 2. We've kept a clean sheet. We're not going to become world beaters overnight with the same players that have been in relegation form for a year now. Some of the behind the scenes stuff is clearly to try and get some finances in for January.
I don't know if it's enough but we're looking to be moving in the right direction.

Well, they gave us a rousing second half. At least the team, by and large are trying now.
I don't know from whence the goals necessary for survival will come though.
We've played 16 league games and our top scorer is the left back with……3.

Most and loudest I've heard the crowd singing for a long time!
All the people around me in Elderslie Road were buzzing to a degree and so.much more upbeat about our general play - yes a lot still to work on but so much better to watch.
Got to like this quote from Marti on BBC - "The last 15 minutes was more up and down, normal in the Championship, especially with teams with new managers chasing the victory but I prefer to see my team chasing the victory not just be happy with the draw."
A bit more time to work with the team but ignore all the doom and gloom merchants - things are definitely looking up and even if we may struggle at times at least we are now trying to play football worth watching!

This time we'll get it right - just believe!
