Chair

Does today's booking mean he's suspended under the ever-shifting five bookings rule ?
My uncle’s brother said Richards played well today.

As far as I can tell, yes. At least some of Chair's other bookings were similarly stupid, as I recall. It's something we really need to sort out as a team.

Thought Richards played OK. Not sure if he will fill in for Chair though. We stopped inverting full backs so much after he came on. The two might not be connected, but it seemed like he wasn't tracking back as much as Smyth and Chair. Then again who will replace Chair? Other options might be Willock, Kolli, Larkeche, Bonner (?) -- don't think there is a clear standout.

I love Chair but it was a stupid booking and should be fined by the club in the same why I hope Dunne and Dozzell were. It was needless and meant he was pulling out of tackles. I didn’t realise it has his 5th so we now miss him for a crucial game.

I wonder if it will be a more advanced role for Dozzell and Willock wide. I think the latter might benefit with some time on the flank, see plenty of the ball rather than though the middle. I can’t see Larkeche offering enough in that role.

Richards played a lovely pass but also didn’t track back and looked a bit off the pace and aimless. But he’s not had much football, I think the ability is there and I’m hoping MC can unlock it.
