Amit Bhatia Steps Down

Post by Rbee » Wed Nov 01, 2023 12:57 pm

Breaking News on Talksport.

Now on The Official Site

https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/2023/novembe ... -chairman/

Lee Hoos is now The Chairman. Seems like things are going on behind the scenes. I would guess that Lee Hoos won't be Chairman for very long as things transpire regarding the clubs owners.

To be honest that was my initial thought! But more breaking news reveals that the South Africa Road stand will be called The Bhatia Stand for the next three seasons affirming the familys commitment to the club.

Peacemeal me thinks.

I would be far more impressed if it was The Mittal Stand.

It's quite interesting we've gone for stand and stadium naming sponsorship at this point in the season. Clearly seems like we're mustering up funds for January.

While recent on-field entertainment may have lacked excitement, the boardroom has certainly witnessed a flurry of activity!

I attempted to find out if there exist regulations governing club chairpersons' ability to sponsor their own clubs. I found limited information; I did come across news indicating that the Premier League lifted such a ban on chairpersons' sponsorship in December 2021. Although, as we all know, the EFL and the Premier League maintain distinctly different sets of rules and regulations.
