Maybe he is just what we need. Other teams have signed unknown foreign managers and have done very well , Brentford, wolves Southampton and Brighton come to mind.
Let's hope this is the start of something special.

In one way I'm glad it's not NW. I think this may have been one bridge too far for him.
How anyone can get anything from our bunch of precious dilettantes is an enduring mystery.

Agreed this is an exciting appointment, no QPR baggage and a clean slate.
I wonder if he will bring some coaches with him.

Agreed, our players have become part of the problem and what about the
deadwood coaching staff, can we have a comprehensive clear-out?
Good appointment though.

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating. We can hope for the best but we are getting a completely unknown quantity.
Warnock would in my opinion at least have definitely kept us up.

I’ll back him but I think it’s a very strange appointment. We’re crying out for a safe pair of hands (Warnock!) not a gamble.
The amount of clubs he’s been at is also a big concern.

Agreed. Potential flight risk ala Beale.
Gotta get behind him and hope he can get these players organised and performing consistently.
Massive risk. Big gamble. I'm here for it

Apparantly his assistant Xavi Calm will follow him and possibly one other. Xavi has been the assistant mananger at Birmingham City so there is our Championship experience.

I don't know anything about the man and am certainly no football expert but reading up on him, he's the polar opposite to GA.
This being the case I would expect greatly improved performances from Willock, Chair and even Richards if he ever plays again.
Interesting times at S Bush.

Re: Welcome to Martí Cifuentes
Seems like a good appointment on paper. He's good a decent track record, but agree that taking a gamble on a Manager looking to break into England is a bit odd when we're in a relegation battle. In all honesty though, it seems like an exciting prospect.

Re: Welcome to Martí Cifuentes
I have zero substantive knowledge to support what I'm about to say about our new manager however;
He looks uber professional
He likely will command immediate dressing room respect
He has great tactical awareness
He will extract every ounce of ability from our players who in turn will love playing for him
He will handle the press in a manner we have yet seen at LR
We will have a new manager bounce (yes I know)
We will be comfortably upper- mid table come May
