I hate these stadium name changes. Some fundemental identity pillars of a club shouldn't be messed about with.
Then again anything for money these days I suppose.

Anything for survival. Concerning that the club have chosen to do this now… Can’t help but question how close we are to breaking FFP rules.

It would suggest some money is being freed up for a change of manager in the next few days.

it shouldn't be an issue as long as the amounts involved are deemed to be in line with market rates. It seems like a creative way to try and help fund the club, which many have been crying out for the owners to do.

Exactly. They can call it what they like, and we can't stop them, but it will always be Loftus Road for the vast majority of us.

I'm guessing the sponsors don't care what we call the stadium. It's the fact their name will be heard on TV and radio on regular basis that counts for them. Presumably reasonably cheap advertising at the highest level.

Perhaps the club can negotiate an even higher fee if all of us agree to refer to it as the MATRADE.

Anyway, perhaps it's what'll give the club a bit of financial headroom to pay off Gareth after Saturday's 0-9 :P whistle

I’m amazed they haven’t done it before, bearing in mind the precarious financial position we find ourselves in, it borders on moronic.

I always suspected the KPF naming was to soften us to the idea of doing this commercially. Ultimately we need money wherever we can get it.
