Not the best of returns from the international break.
Shame about the red card, was always going to be tough after that. But I agree with Wegerle, we needed to change shape and pack the midfield to try and control the game more.
Ah well, on to the next.
Ahem!
Unfortunately our squad is so paper thin that Colback's absence on Tuesday night, just one player, will be immense.

Our last league home win was in March, 6 months ago!
That is an incredible and worrying statistic.

I don't think I've ever left a match as early. Partly fatigue and the heat, partly the ref's attitude but also, despite the welcome improvement in the team's spirit, we just seem to be inadequate in most aspects of the game.
It's a shame that redoubtable bulwark and touchstone Taylor Richards wasn't available.

The ref was abysmal. Absolute scheiser. I thought from where I was the Colback red card looked harsh. Having seen the video replay from the refs angle he may have been justified but he could have given a yellow but instead he ruined the game because the Sunerlan players told him to. He was the worst ref in long time and I think he might've been Stroud with a mask on. Gave us absolutely nothing and them everything - including the points. But it was a silly challenge for Colback to make.

I’ve just seen the highlights and replayed the foul several times. Yes, it was a foul but a red card was harsh. It was a game changer, a yellow would have shown the ref was in charge without making it all about him.
The deflected goal right on half time meant the second half was always going to be difficult, and so it proved to be.
I actually think we will win on Tuesday as clearly Swansea are still adjusting to their new manager and the loss of key players like Piroe and Manning.
We need to make Loftus Road a fortress again, and I don’t think the part the fans play in that can be underestimated.

Maybe it was a red, maybe it wasn't, but 7 Mackems surrounding the ref made sure it was! Nevertheless, Swansea at home is now feeling like our first six pointer of the season.
Question everything.

I thought it looked harsh in real time, but having seen the replay, it's a clear red card. I'm not sure it changed the course of the game much to be honest. They outplayed us throughout, and 28% possession at home tells the story. With three home defeats already, Swansea on Tuesday looks a big game now.

We all rail against refs and I thought from my viewpoint in the SA Rd upper ( the Gods ), that Colbeck was entitled to go for the ball in that manner.
To be honest I still haven't seen a replay but go along with opinion.
So, a three match ban - that's all we need.
That said, I still thought the ref was one-eyed.
We really need something from the Swansea game.

That's 28% during a game where we played over 80 minutes with 10 men. At the point where Colback was sent off we were pressing for a second goal and didn't look like conceding. To suggest it made no difference to the result is illogical.
