The worst thing about the International break ...

Post by ZENITH R » Mon Sep 11, 2023 9:47 am

This message board goes into hibernation.

Two things to note ...

Dykes played as a substitute for Scotland. He didn't score in his 30 minutes on the pitch, and hopefully he didn't get injured either.

Sinclair Armstrong made his Republic of Ireland debut as a very late substitute (too late to make a difference).

Hopefully, our injured players are healing, those not quite up to speed fitness wise, have been putting in a shift or two in the gym and on the track, and we have had time to work on a few things in training.

Bring on Sunderland!

UR'ssssssssss!

Assuming he is fit would you start Dykes against Sunderland?

Personally I would not change the team.

Unless he scores a hat trick tomorrow and is obviously on fire, I would use him from the bench on Saturday.

If he does score and is obviously buzzing, it would make sense to use that positive energy to our benefit.

Cant see it myself though (the hat trick).

Do we get any extra payments since Eze made his England appearance? Just wondering what the add ons were as part of the deal when we sold him.

Didn't he already make one before last night. I though this was his 2nd cap..?

Just looked it up and he made his debut on the 16th of June against Malta.

I think I would play him in the weird midfield role he was in before he was out. Unfortunately, that means dropping Dozzell or Colback, and neither of them deserve it.
