The epitome of a consummate professional broadcaster. Parky always researched his guests thoroughly and unlike today's 'chat shows' the guests weren't there to answer banal pre-agreed questions and for promotion purposes.
I believe he also once played a decent standard of cricket alongside Geoff Boycott & Dickie Bird at Barnsley Cricket Club.
