Queens Park Rangers vs Norwich City

Post by Andy_N19 » Wed Aug 16, 2023 7:41 pm

What a plalacer to get into HQ this evening more on that later. Fairly low key game, at least we aren't behind which is an improvement on last season's shinanigans!

I was going to watch on QPR+ but these cup matches are no longer being shown.
Sounds like a desperate match with a really poor starting eleven, so at least it's saved me a tenner.

Not really desperate, just an opportunity to see some new faces. Richards putting himself about and dare I say it Dozzell was half decent before his withdrawal. The p!as poor Rangers of last season would have been at least 0-2 down by now.

...and the inevitable, but not a disaster here, more interested in them keeping par with Ipswich at the weekend.

Dykes off injured earlier, some saying it looks serious.
If you're going to virtually throw the match, why play any first teamers at all ?

This is why I don’t do cups. 🙄 Chris Martin is still available

He walked off, slowly but he didn't look too distressed

I fully understand not playing a full strength squad if worried about injuries/fitness etc. But if QPR are short of money then surely a cup run would be handy?

Good hit out for the kids. Unfortunate not to go to pens.

Was expecting a mauling. Kids held their own. What happened to Kelman ?. Is he injured?. Would have thought this was a match to give him another run and rest up Dykes

I thought exactly the same about Kelman. Either he’s injured, or about to go out on loan somewhere.
