The area around Vespan Road is usually a good bet, BiscuitR. Obviously get there early to get your pick of the (permit-free) spaces, and enjoy the game!

Thanks LP

... not sure I can be too early as driving down from the Peak District Sat morning...
I recall there was some official parking... other side of the A40? Is this still there?

...I usually go to the Crown&Sceptre for my lunch and I always see free parking spaces around there....I usually go there at opening time to get a table (11am) and leave after 1pm to move to the Conningham and meet the Irish guys who gather there....
I guess it also depends from the time you arrive...if you get there early and have a pint or some food at the pub you have more chances than arriving just in time for the kick off....

We're quite lucky with parking. I believe all the roads between our ground and Hammersmith are free at weekends.
I sometimes drive over, leave the car so I can have a few pints and walk over Sunday morning to collect it.

Last time I drove in I found it quite easy to park in Coningham Road.
Mind you that was in 1973!

I didn't even know that these permit free spaces existed anymore .

I used to deliver papers around the area South of the Westway including White City in the sixties and the roads are mostly still there...
More helpfully, you can always find parking near Sundew Avenue, The Curve and the other roads on the far side of Wormholt Park from the ground and believe me I do NOT get there early.
However you are a distance from any of the watering holes others have mentioned - but you do walk past a Sainsbury's shop.
This time we'll get it right - just believe!

I come off the North Circular, through Harlesden, turn down Scrubbs Lane and turn right into Du Caine Road past the prison and there are places to park off to the right in Wulfstan Street. There's a tunnel and an underpass to get you the right side of the Westway, and it's about a 15 minute walk to the ground. Quick getting away, and handy for getting back to the M1 for getting back to the Peak District. I am coming down from Chesterfield, and have been doing that for about 10 years now.

Local info...
That tunnel comes out into Primula St and the first house on the left is where the girl that married the recently departed Vince Hill lived - her brother first taught me the line to "Green Grow The Rushes Ho" as being
Eight For The Queens Park Rangers!
I lived next door.

This time we'll get it right - just believe!

That has given me something extra to look for on Saturday.

The streets around Wormholt are a botanist's delight - all named after plants. Clematis, Sundew, Hemlock, Daffodil et al.

Thanks all for the info.
I did try Wulfstan Street, however the spaces I found where permit or phone and pay. I wasn't sure about the latter option so I bottled out and used Westfield. Aside from being lost inside for about 20 mins it was ok although I may have flirted with the congestion zone by trying to find the entrance. I'm such a Rookie!
Enjoyed the game though, sunny afternoon, great crowd and making some noise!
A few frustrated supporters in the R Block providing some humor (in a not so pleasant way) directed at the lino. The said official looked like Pete Postlewaite and was as slow... apologies Pete, great actor, RIP fella.
Seriously though officials where bang average and lino was just plain embarrassing.

I got there about 1pm, found a spot (no permit required). It was busier than usual though, maybe others read this post lol. The only problem - the underpass beneath the Westway was 3 inches deep in water. I braved it on tip toe (still got wet) on the way there, but crossed at the lights on the way back.

This is part of the reason so many of us want the club to remain in the Bush.
Acres of parking, still a large number of good boozers, plenty of cafes and restaurants, shops, transport links, quite a few open spaces to meet people and swig a few liveners before eventuating the ground.
One could go on.
