What's the odds on quickest Manger sacking of a new season..?
Which is why I confidently predict he'll be gone by October.
OCTOBER??!! He'll be gone on Saturday night if that happens again.

In recent time our 'recored holder' is Chris Ramsey who managed to make it to the 4th November. His replacement, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, was gone exactly one year and one day later!

...one name comes always to my mind when I think of the most expert manager in this division, the one who has a magic touch and can save teams that look already relegated and in some cases he took them to be promoted the season after....he was at the club some seasons ago but was shown the door...Some do not like him...he is not an easy character for sure..but he can deliver the job...

Stevenage played Watford last night in the League Cup. They drew 1-1 and then won on penalties. Watford only changed their goalkeeper from the game against us, and were 1-0 up after 6 minutes. The Stevenage manager said:

"Watford have paid us a huge compliment - they made only a goalkeeper change from a team that tore Queens Park Rangers apart."

"Having watched that game twice, it could have been double that (4-0) score. So when you look at the team you know they're going to be on the front foot and full of confidence."

"We struggled to deal with it and after 15 minutes we changed our shape and the momentum of the game changed."

By contrast, we sat on our hands on Saturday and changed nothing until half-time, when we were 4-0 down. Plenty of people saying Gareth isn't up to the job, and I'm afraid things like this only support that view. At 15 minutes we too were only losing 1-0.

This is my biggest worry with GA. Tactically, he is 1 dimensional, there is no plan b, let alone plan c.

Even if his styled worked to begin with and its not going to in any league above L1 with out a very specific set of players, once teams figured us out there would be nothing we could do about loss after loss after loss.

How bad was it? I'm in Sheffield and my daughter had a drama performance so no way I was going to be able to make it and I couldn't even listen anywhere. Any glimmers of hope at all or should I lump my savings on us going down?
Well the lads gave everything against what might be the league champions according to the manager,
so nothing to worry about really. Once he sorts the time management out, we'll be fine. Probably.
It’s actually fine, you see everyone is predicting we’ll go down so it isn’t a problem to get thrashed. If we were aiming for the playoffs, that’s when it’s bad to get tonked.

I don't think this is fair, because he changed tactics and formation at half time. Problem is, it needed to be 15 minutes really. I can understand sometimes seeing if things will work out after an early blip, but it was an absolute shitshow for 45 minutes.

I can see Gareth getting “out thunk” by a lot of opposing managers this season.

Not sure there was an awful lot of out-thinking on Saturday, to be honest.
