Linford Christie Stadium

Post by ZENITH R » Tue Mar 14, 2023 5:21 pm

It seems this is increasingly looking like a non-starter.

The friends of Wormwood Scrubs seem to be pushing forward with plans to develop the stadium which do not include QPR playing there. They appear to be more focused on the other sports (athletics and Gaelic football for example) which currently take place at the stadium.

So, if we accept that we need to move to survive, then it looks like we will be looking for a site outside of the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. It feels a little like what we faced when we tried to build a new training ground. However, that turned out for the best, and fingers crossed so will this.
Saturday 9th November 1968: QPR V Burnley in the First Division - I saw the Hoops for the first time and my obsession began!

....well....years ago there was a "voice" of QPR moving to Dublin...still plenty of spaces to build a stadium here...great ales and stouts...and the most important thing is....that would save me a lot of money for not flying to London every match

Mix it up a bit and have a top-tier London Irish GAA team playing at the new stadium? shifty

Either that or move LR underground and fund it by selling the air rights.

I am not a crackpot.
