Dykes

Post by 222gers » Thu Mar 09, 2023 2:49 pm

Apparently, Dykes back in the squad for the Watford game.
Highly unlikely he'll play I imagine but to get him back into the routine.
If any of our summer signings had pneumonia they'd be out until spring 2029.

Really good news.

He's certainly not prolific and doesn't have the best of luck in front of goal but his work ethic is always there for all to see every time he plays.

Right now, players willing to try and graft seem few and far between so personally, I would welcome Lyndon back into the fold with open arms if he is fit enough.

Dykes has his critics (myself included), but you can never question his commitment.

I hope to see him back ASAP - we need him.

Play him, Martin and Armstrong up front with a long ball system and a grinding Wimbledonesque style of play till the end of the season. That should give us the handful of points we need to survive. We could out-Preston Preston.

Luckily spring is upon us and we have a new gaffer. So hopefully he wont get pneumonia again while standing around up front with the defense playing sideways for an hour.

Taylor Richards had some wax in his ear this morning, so that's him ruled out.
It doesn't look as any (many) of our sicknotes will be available, but GA may be playing his cards close to his chest.
