Several things I l notice time and time again.

When we win the ball and transition to attack we are sloppy and give the ball away far too easily. This is mainly because the opposition try to close down the space and go and challenge the ball carrier quickly. We don't do this.

But even without blinding pace, vision, defense splitting passes and intelligent runs we can still do a lot better to and consolidate possession, but rarely do.

Secondly when defending, especially against quickly developing attacks the players all surrender 10's of yards whilst sprinting to get in each other's way in our own penalty area: Lleaving the wide areas unmanned.

The proverbial acres of space are open to the advancing ball carrier and even when they get challenged there is always an out option on one or both of the wings as we leave opposition players standing there completely unmarked.

We defend far too narrowly and then only on the edge of our 18 yd box. It's too late by then.

To adopt a basketball adage, a half court press has got to be much better than whatever "run away" tactic we adopt.

With the Eĺxception of top teams, I don't believe the opposition are that much faster, fitter or more talented....they just play as a team. We play as a group of individuals who work in isolation.

Simple give and go's, hunting in packs and offer up options is enough to survive in this league. Oh and stop running away from the ball FFS.

Let's get Shaun Derry and Ryan Nelsen in as consultants.

Oh and one final observation, when one of our midfielders or forwards bust a gut and get a challenge in up the park we cheer almost as loudly as when we score Must tell you something
Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out.

Taylor may wish it was - I don't think Rowan Atkinson could have written a better script for Mr Bean. Got to love a chap who ranks observing the dress code so highly. It was the equivalent of unplugging someone's life support to ensure your phone has a fully charged battery.

He's obviously a man of distinction and taste - one wouldn't want to be seen with one's shoelaces undone, would one ?

What a great analogy… One of the weirdest things I’ve seen at QPR for some time
