I would be astounded if we signed this guy. Loan or otherwise. I hope we do though, because our supposed creative players are running on empty.deadendjob wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 7:01 pmLinked with Leighton Clarkson. 21yo Midfielder from Liverpool. Had a decent season on loan at Aberdeen from accounts.

How many loans are we allowed?
If you had a million Shakespeares, could they write like a monkey?

I think it’s five. We already had Laird, Richards and Roberts, and now Lowe too.
Are headphones getting bigger, or are idiots getting smaller ?

You’re right, I forgot Tim. Five loans is too many in my book, but I guess beggars can’t be choosers.

We have a commitment to sign Richards, if that comes forward then it frees up another loan
However, just hope we are keeping Tim and Ethan, though I would have thought if going back it would be done already.

If it's a season long loan can we do that unless Leeds are keen which they probably aren't

Re: Winter Transfer Rumours - Jan 23
There was a provision linked to appearances but he’s reached the threshold so he’s sticking around. He hasn’t looked up to much but Dykes has played better when he’s been in the side so maybe he’s one of those forwards that doesn’t pass the eyeball test but is much appreciated by his teammates.
If he looks that part then maybe we could persuade Brighton to loan us Undav and let us sign Richards with a nominal upfront fee to free up the loan place. I’m inclined to agree with Ux that it feels like we’re utilizing too many loanees but it doesn’t feel like they’re hampering the development of our own players.
I think it would be worth getting Armstrong out on loan to the conference or league 2 and see how he gets on. He needs proper games not academy run outs and I don’t think he’s ready for the champ. I guess you could argue it might actually benefit him if we can get one more loan in, for that reason.

Shodipo to Lincoln on loan
Clearly not part of NC`s plans
Good luck to him

Regarding loans, a club can have as many loans as it likes, although there is a maximum of 25 players allowed in a squad. However, there is a limit of 5 loan players in a matchday squad. That would make at least some loans difficult or impossible because of certain clauses the loaning club might make.

Seny's being linked with several Premier League clubs. Source is Guardian Jurno.
PBBC has been talking about Dykes more so we'll see if that eventuates.

WLS saying we've rejected a bid for Dykes from Millwall worth "up to £3M", whatever that means. Stoke also interested.

Burnley also allegedly interested.
Someone on Twitter remarked that Millwall’s offer was likely 500k up front with 2.5m paid when they get promoted to the Prem.

So we cannot spend £3M on a player without smashing FFP whereas Millwall with a smaller average gate than us and as far as I know have not sold anybody for a big amount can.UxbridgeR wrote: ↑Fri Jan 20, 2023 10:17 amWLS saying we've rejected a bid for Dykes from Millwall worth "up to £3M", whatever that means. EDIT: Just read the above post so in reality they are only offering £500,000.
