Terrific stuff. The semi-final crushing of India was a sensational performance, and while today wasn't a great spectacle, the victory is all that matters. Arise, Sir Ben.

Unbelievably the game seemed to turn when Shaheen Shah Afridi hurt himself catching Brook's out...

I think we would have lost but for that

His replacement was hit for 10 runs straight away and Stokes along with Ali and Livingstone whittled down the remaining runs...

The stadium then emptied out of the massive Pakistani support at the MCG faster than bishops at a brothel raid ...

I agree. A stroke of luck for England, but very smart cricket by Stokes to take advantage of the situation and turn the game in England's favour. Moeen played his part too.

Although, the semi final was a better spectacle, Jos & the lads delivered another professional, tense but ultimately enjoyable performance. It was disappointing to see Pakistan appeal for pretty much any delivery that beat the bat...cricket shithousery? naughty
Question everything.

Remember doing them as far back as the (excellent) Mushtaq Ahmed days.

Huge performances from England since the defeat to Ireland. A bit lucky on the day with the injury to Afridi but restricting them to 30-below par, we were always in the box seat. Not sure I could have taken another super over so glad we closed it out! A team to be hugely proud of.
