It's lucky we have five subs this season..... two injured in the first 30 minutes....

Need to get to half time only 2 down to regroup

In Beale we trust?

An outrageous goal deflates any team and two players who already been injured this season break down again......

As I said mick's got three subs left to turn it round..... we need to at least draw or win this half.... even then we may not get anything

Dykes hit the penalty at the same corner as the other week at the perfect height for Ruddy.... Good save though.... maybe Chair should have taken it instead so close to his last penalty

Shame as i think we could have taken a point if we'd made it 2 - 1... the early injuries were costly

Burnley could be five ahead tomorrow evening...

I must!'ve been living under a rock to have missed this change to 5 substitutes : it sent me scurrying to Google ..it seems like a good thing... but why only 4 opportunities to make subs if allowing 5 subs?
Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out.

It is 3 opportunities, to prevent a team from doing multiple consecutive substitutions at the end of a game for time-wasting purposes. Half-Time does not count as it is not holding up the game.

Thank you for the info, and it does make sense.

Maybe a topic for off-season but I really want to revisit the topic of formal time keeping... it's about time we played 35-38 mins a half and the clock stops everytime the ball is out of play or if the ref stops the play for a foul or injury. I will scurry away now and find some stats on actual playing time

Edit: average actual ball in play time in prem is a shade over 55 mi s
