Mick Beale's Blue Army and Social Media
Saw the recent tweet regarding Q and R block singing Mick Beale's BLUE ARMY constantly....
I like it.... It's a change from blue and white army which just changes from previous manager to new manager.....
First time I remember seeing that on a banner was after the Leeds game in 1976 with "David Sexton's Blue and White Army" nearly 50 years ago!
Also Mick Beale has either deactivated or deleted his twitter account which I think is a wise move with the constant speculation of him or one of our players moving on up (premier league bound).... (currently Chair to Villa on WLS).
I sometimes wish @QPR would deactivate or delete their twitter account as our demented detractors circle waiting for a slip up to happen...

It would be better if everybody deleted their Twitter accounts and allowed the whole thing to return to the gutter from whence it cameSystemsguy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 1:03 pmSaw the recent tweet regarding Q and R block singing Mick Beale's BLUE ARMY constantly....

Brings to mind the old question - do players and staff read these forums ?

You'd like to think so but I doubt it but I'm certain the club's media presence does

Don't worry, Musk will own it soon and based on his recent behaviour the gutter is where it's heading!QPR_John wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 3:05 pmIt would be better if everybody deleted their Twitter accounts and allowed the whole thing to return to the gutter from whence it cameSystemsguy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 1:03 pmSaw the recent tweet regarding Q and R block singing Mick Beale's BLUE ARMY constantly....

I thought that one of the conditions for EM to buy Twatter was that he insisted on being given a full breakdown of how many fake, robo-type accounts there are. Sounds to me like he's trying to clean it up.

I'm still waiting to hear a full throated rendition of 'Paal the dutchy on the left hand side' to the Musical Youth tune. Not only would it be a great chant but our diminutive LB thoroughly deserves a song.

Nick London on comms said in a recent game when a player tried to gfo pass Paal "You cant pass the Duchie on the Left Hand Side"
But, there are a couple of suggestions as to what a Duchie really is meaning in the song! Some say a pot, some say Pot!

The original song was about passing the "coochie" round but "Musical Yoof" being so young couldn't sing about pot smoking so it was amended to "dutchie" or cooking pot....StevenageRanger wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 12:36 pmNick London on comms said in a recent game when a player tried to gfo pass Paal "You cant pass the Duchie on the Left Hand Side"

My personal favorites from the 70s and 80s were one hit wonders Anthea and Donna and "Uptown Top Ranking" and Errol Dunkley's "OK Fred" although I still haven't figured out what a Yaga yaga is but bully for him....

Not quite. Those "conditions" were raised when he had cold feet and was looking to back out of the deal. Cue enormous lawsuit. Bluff called, he accepted the overwhelming advice that he didnt have a legal leg to stand on so now owns it. I dont think "cleaning it up" is on his agenda

Re: Mick Beale's Blue Army and Social Media
Well, it all started with the kid posting the location of his (Musk's) plane (all available on flightradar24) and Musk told him to stop. The kid told him no and iirc Musk said he would give him $5k to stop. The kid said make it $50k or something and you got a deal. Then Musk suddenly wanted to buy twitter under the guise of free speech. Make of that what you will.
I use to be indifferent to Musk, but when he called the guy a "pedo guy" cos they wouldn't play with his (Musk's) toy submersible when rescuing kids, that is when all respect I had for him went bye bye. Then the recent events of trying to get involved with the war in Ukraine and coming off pro Russian hasn't helped him much either.
