Liz Truss

Post by Rbee » Thu Oct 20, 2022 12:53 pm

and gone!

I think politically we need to follow footballs example and look abroad for our next Prime Minister.

No individual in any party gives me confidence at the moment.

She was introduced at the conference with the phrase " When the going gets tough, the Truss gets going". They got that right.
Another nice little coup but she couldn't have made it easier for them, could she?

Her tenure lasted one more day than 'old big mouth' Cloughie at Leeds!

I think he was referred to as 'old big head' not 'mouth' but I'm just showing my age here !

If it wasn't so embarassing it would be hilarious.

How anyone, other than the woman herself, could take her seriously is beyond me. I just wish Spitting Image was still going... they wouldn't even need a characture.

About the only thing I agreed with coming out of Russia in recent times is when their foreign ministry savaged outgoing British Prime Minister Liz Truss, calling her a disgrace of a leader who would be remembered for her “catastrophic illiteracy”.

"Britain has never known such a disgrace of a prime minister,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a social media post.

Indeed you are correct

I think I'm showing my age too by making a 'senior' error. In my defence he did like to somewhat shoot his mouth off.
Question everything.

I just applied for the position. It comes with a nice salary. Free accommodation in a decent London area. Easy job, dealing with plenty of funny people that know nothing of what they would be supposed to do. Waiting to be called for an interview.

I'd vote for you Georgio.....

It looked dubious to me as soon as I saw her wearing Maggie style clothes during her PM campaign.... Nice pension and now setup for life

Charles will be happier I suspect...

Next PM?

beyond caring...likely to waste my vote in the forthcoming GE be it this year, next year or whenever as I can't vote for any of the corrupt bar stewards on offer at the moment
2022/2023.... Keep Calm, no matter the season, we'll follow our team.....

There is a little known payment of £115k per anum paid to ex Prime Ministers. Factor in the book, the book signing tour, speeches, name on the letterhead of various companies etc and yes Liz Truss will be very comfortable.

Some speculation about that they are asking her to forgo the £115K....

I personally would tell them to get stuffed

The people who voted her in can cough up her compensation.. 45 days in any job gets you diddly squat. Especially if you resign

Me too, lol. I would love to know if the multi millionaires Boris, Blair, and Major take this money.
