What's that all about
All the effort to get a decent manager, recruiting decent young players and potentially wanting to leave, it's an absolute joke. It's alright going round the pitch clapping everyone, where is the loyalty .
I know it's not a done deal but it does seem as though if every time we do well in the future the manager wants to leave, he needs to put his colours on the mast Blue and white hoops
If he stays he will have my utmost respect, if he leaves I think it's someone who is not committed to the club on a long-term basis after trying to build a decent club for the future.

I never expected him to stay long if successful but thought we'd get 1 flipping season at least. When does this happen to anyone else. It's proper wound me up.

He's been here four months, where does loyalty come into it ? Had we been bottom of the league instead of top, people would have had no problem calling for him to get the sack. Yes, we gave him an opportunity for his first job in management, but by all accounts his reputation is such that he would have landed a job somewhere whenever he was ready.Rtastic 2 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 9:50 pmAll the effort to get a decent manager, recruiting decent young players and potentially wanting to leave, it's an absolute joke. It's disappointing, but I can't really get too upset about it. I think it's a huge gamble for Wolves to be honest, but I can see how Beale would find the opportunity hard to resist.

Agree. Beale is in his first mangerial job and doing well so far. I understand the lure of money and a relegation fight (ahum) but he's taking an enormous gamble with his beginning reputation. If he gets sacked by Wolves he could spiral down the leagues as a one day wonder at QPR.
For us it would be sour grapes sitting on top of the league without a manager. We've still got the same good players and great support so we'll make the most of it with our pride in tact. Bittersweet it is though.

I take your point but it does feel once again we’ve taken 1 step forward and 2 back. I would understand if he had given us one season at least I doubt he would be short of offers.UxbridgeR wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 7:49 amHe's been here four months, where does loyalty come into it ? Calm down, calm down ....
It's all OK.

I don’t know if that comment was directed at me. But it was my feeling at the time of first hearing the news and it seemed pretty certain by all reports a few days ago. I’m more than happy MB is staying but if we all waited to see how things turned out before commenting this forum would be bereft of posts.

Exactly. The Beale / Wolves link has probably created more traffic on this board than has been the case in years.QPR_John wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 8:45 pmI don’t know if that comment was directed at me. This was a story that was being widely circulated in mainstream sports media on Wednesday, and there was a genuine possibility he might leave. Pretty reasonable to discuss that, I'd say.
