No chance he’ll go to Villa

Re: Beale to Wolves?
This morning I would have said that Mick would accept the Villa job but after his interview on The Offish I don’t think so.
What a come down it would be if he did.

As pointed out it was Fulham not Leicester....Systemsguy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 9:55 pmAnother twist in the tale..... Gerrard has just been sacked by Villa after losing 3 - 0 to Leicester
Watching both Premier League matches on prime and Gerrard was sacked straight after full time...
Worth noting the loyalty both Villa and Wolves have towards there previous managers...

Re: Beale to Wolves?
Can't see him wanting to go to Villa or Villa even considering him.
They are talking about Poch and Benitez as possibles, whether there's any chance of that is another matter but Beale said apart from showing loyalty to us it was too early to go to Wolves, that hasn't changed.
Also apart from a few months under Gerrard, which is probably a negative for the fans anyway, he has no affinity with Villa, not like he played for them for years.

Exactly this. I would lose my faith in humanity completely if after his interview yesterday Beale would now go to Villa. It won't happen. (surely)

Villa?
He's mates with Gerrard.... it's like making a move on your mates ex...
Wolves have possibly done us a favour by trying to poach him as it flushes out this really is a project...
He's transformed our defence into one mean machine and tempted in players (for free) who wouldn't have given us a second glance under our previous management...
Yes loyalty in football is a scarce commodity but Mick has invested so much effort in the last 4 or 5 months maybe it's a bit too quick to jump ship especially to a team of possible mercenaries in the premier league...
He's an absolute breath of fresh air listening to him in his pre and post match interviews (win or lose)...
I really hope to see him eventually as England manager like El Tel was...

I don’t think he’d go to Villa, between the comments 24hrs ago, taking Gerrard’s role and AV’s likely aspirations it all seems unlikely. However if the Rangers job opened up in the not too distant future I’d be concerned.
