Willock

Post by Montag » Sun Sep 18, 2022 11:28 pm

I was looking at the BBC goalscorer table and noticed Chris was joint 4th with 5 goals. However, he has the best goals per minutes played ratio (109). Let's hope he can stay fit and we're in for a pretty good season, I think. :)

A mid range Premier League club, say Newcastle, Palace or Soton would do well buying not only Willock but Chair too as a double no 10 package.

That'll be £30m, thank you.

Depending on where we are come the end of January..... £30M or a real possible jackpot...

I think lets enjoy it, no cup matches to distract us now....

It's a gamble keeping him or both of them but the pigs ear we made of chasing the playoffs this year shows how easily it can go wrong....
2022/2023.... Keep Calm, no matter the season, we'll follow our team.....

We need a dedicated no 9 striker to prompt another top 6 push or else it'll
be another re-run of this season.

True - but it's easier said than done. Strikers have always been at a premium and we are pretty much skint with FFP restrictions in place.
As my old dad used to say “son, talk's cheap, money buys 'ouses”.

Aside from the Fernades folly, I'm resigned to the fact that we will always be a selling club... however I still have wild dreams for our club... perennial premiership also rans... mid to upper table... competitive in the domestic cups, no need to sell our best players and even be predatory, poaching a few emerging Championship stars or second tier oversea players. Hell I'd even like to challenge a top 6 spot every few years.
Oh... and a brand spanking new stadium. Build it and they will come.
Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out.
