Pretty much the expected team. The only slight surprise is Shodipo rather than Albert.

I didn't think Mick would risk Luke or Chris.

Good to see that although we are short on defensive cover Mick doesn't want to play Niko.

Hard on Dunne, one of our best players last season to be benched for the new geezers.

Presume it is 4-3-2-1 with Shodipo and Chair behind Dykes ?

Agree. Dunne was very solid last season. I'm sure he will have an important role to play this season.

I look at this side and I wonder where the goals are coming from?

Apologies to Herman's hermits and Graham Gouldman who wrote the original song but I feel like this:

No goals today, my team has gone away
The fans stands forlorn, a symbol of the yawn
No goals today, it seems a common sight
But people passing by, don't know the reason why
:(

Now Rangers, get out there and prove me wrong!!

Richard III, Act IV, W. Shakespeare

Could well be. Midfield has to win the ball and feed Ilias and Shodipo

It's working here in Holland but the sound is sketchy.

Shades of the Warburton era. Look the better side then concede.

A couple of free kicks played backwards including one where several players had gone up in to the box. I hope Mick picks up on that.

Hopefully we can assert ourselves again second half but we have to be looking to the bench I think and perhaps change formation

Although we contained Blackburn for large portions of the game, we didn't stand a chance to win the game.
The final third is non existent in our play. A couple of attacking additions to our squad will be vital to be able to breath easy this season.

Not sure how a group of professional footballers can train all week and then come the big day on Saturday can’t get one single shot on target.
