Where will we finish
Still probably a couple more to come through the door, but this will likely be the majority of the squad.
With our first game two days away, where do you think we'll wind up this season?

I'll be surprised if we don't get a kick in the Lee J's come Saturday, for starters.

Re: Where will we finish
I'm ambivalent about our chances at this point. The bulk of the squad that had us in and around the top six for the majority of last season is still here, which is cause for optimism. However, we've lost a few consistent performers from the last couple of years, and the signings we've made so far don't seem particularly inspiring to me. We also have a head coach with zero experience of being the number one, so there's obviously uncertainty around that. I think the squad may look quite different by the time we get to the end of the transfer window, but at this point I can't see us repeating last season's play-off challenge, unless of course Beale does turn out to be the Messiah. Mid-table for me.

I think it's going to be a long hard season. I feel a yo yo season so to say. Same as usual I suppose.

If it goes pear shaped then someone needs to be held accountable. Particularly over the MW business.

I voted top 6 as there wasn't an option for winner... Whose to blame when things go wrong??? Bloody optimists, that's who
Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out.

Re: Where will we finish
I think we know if won’t be the person getting the blame if it goes wrong. I’m predicting that if we go on a good run there will be a lot of disappointed fans who’d rather we were poor and they can moan and be proven right.
Don’t have much to add to what Ux said but I think the added strength in midfield will help a lot and would have last year if it was in place. A lot of the players who’ve left missed a fair chunk of last season or were bit part contributors so I’m not as concerned albeit the squad seems thin in places. Big questions will be if JCS can fill Barbet’s boots and how we adapt to the back 4.
I’ve gone for 9th but if we can bring in another striker with a decent number of goals in them and an attacking right back (imo we also need cover at FB too) then we could make another playoff push. I like the appointment of Beale over some average championship manager off the carousel and hope there is enough patience amongst fans if this season proves to be a learning curve, albeit a promising one.

Lower mid-table unless we strengthen our strike force.

Lee J's nicely bruised as expected.

Re: Where will we finish
.....at the moment we are just a mid table squad...if we can get a couple of players - especially one good up front - we might aim to a play off spot...
