Zoom Meeting / Dot.org Funding
A few posters have expressed an interest in setting up a zoom call to discuss how to fund this message board going forward.
As a reminder, these are the current operating costs:
- Hosting fees: £79.20 per month.
- The domain registration: £50 biannually.
Our existing balance including cash and new pledges is £320 (i.e. enough to keep us going for 4 more months).
I’ll be hosting a zoom call in a couple of weeks’ time on Thursday 16th June at 7:30pm. It would be great to see as many posters (and lurkers) there as possible.
Lots of us have been part of the dot.org for many years. It’s been a place that’s shaped our thinking and support for QPR, and so it’d be great if we can come together to keep it going.
Enjoy the bank holiday and I look forward to meeting everyone who can make it on zoom in a couple of weeks.
P. S. If you can’t make that date or time, but have a suggestion please email it though to me and I’ll make sure it gets read out on the call. I can be reached at qprdotorg2022@gmail.com

Don't have the technology to Zoom but am happy to contribute when you are ready and take a turn as Treasurer one day when my desk is clearer.

Good on you for taking the initiative. I'll try make it on, but timing is a tad tricky (6:30am) with work etc.

Re: Zoom Meeting / Dot.org Funding
2:30 am is probably not going to work for me!
Nevertheless, as previously stated I'm happy to contribute financially.

Re: Zoom Meeting / Dot.org Funding
I’ve now emailed/sent a DM with a meeting link to everyone who has said they’re up joining this Thursday evening.
If anyone else is keen let me know and I’ll send the link through to you too.
Looking forward to it, thanks everyone for pledges etc so far.

Thursday 16th June is the meeting date. I’ve just re-sent you the link, and it should work fine once I’ve started the meeting.
Hopefully see you there tomorrow!

Re: Zoom Meeting / Dot.org Funding
Just a reminder that the meeting starts in 5 minutes.
Not too late to grab a link off me if you haven’t already and you’re keen to join
EDIT: Just a quick note to say thanks to everyone who made it.
I’ll write up a full summary of the discussion ASAP, but in summary there were lots of great ideas, as well as new pledges that will keep us in the green until the end of this calendar year.
Much appreciated.
