Was gutted about losing Warburton, but this seems like a really good move and I'm quietly excited for the future.

Interesting appointment who wasn't on my radar.
He now has the time in the transfer market and to get the team playing the way he wants before the season starts.
Lets hope he can build from where MW has left off.

I agree it's an interesting appointment. Credit to the club for not just going for one of the usual suspects from the EFL managerial merry-go-round. He's obviously highly rated and respected as a coach, and hopefully that bodes well in terms of his ability to develop and improve players. Being a good coach doesn't necessarily translate into being a successful manager though, so it's a gamble to some extent, although every appointment is really. He could probably do with a more experienced head alongside him, and maybe we'll see that happen soon. His contacts at Villa and Liverpool might also come in handy in terms of loan options.

Good luck to him anyway.

I'm pretty optimistic about this. He will of course know that there is precious little available for new signings. Hopefully he'll bring Ossis Kakay back into the fold and save a transfer fee for RB.
The big issue to address at the start is to get a new contract for Barbet.
Dieng, Kakay, Dickie, Barbet, Dunne, An Other, looks a decent back line to start with.

He's spent time with Chelsea! How come he wasn't rejected on that score?

On the face of it this seems like a very (un-QPR like) considered, well thought out appointment. Here's hoping.

But jeez, couldn't he have shaved for the occasion?!
Question everything.

Of course, the elephant in the room is.......what will his post-match interviews be like ?

A hot button issue for a number of fans, apparently.

I hope he does well for all of our sakes but it is a huge gamble. He looks good on paper but no 1st team managerial experience? Not every AM can make the step up. Best of luck to him and I am thankful it's not Campbell.

If it's anything like his appointment interview, it'll be the most generic canned response ever.
