The Africa Cup of Nations
This is due to end on 6 February when both the final and 3rd place match will take place.
If Morocco (chair), Senegal (Dieng) and Sierra Leone (Kakay) don't make it that far, I assume the players will return. So, theoretically, we could have all three available for the Peterborough game in the next round and maybe even earlier.

It'd be typical of our luck if those three teams made up three of the last four !ZENITH R wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 7:00 pmThis is due to end on 6 February when both the final and 3rd place match will take place.

Unlikely though but I hope our lads put on a good showing.

I suspect Senegal and Morocco will make it out of their respective groups,
Sierra Leone on the other hand are a weak side.

I thought he was going as back-up. Very pleased for him.
Are headphones getting bigger, or are idiots getting smaller ?

I’m just watching Senegal v Zimbabwe. With Dieng in goal for Senegal. Not the best standard of football. Not the best standard of commentating either.
Obviously the B team has been sent out to cover the tournament.

Seny is playing because the first choice keeper (Mendy of Chelscum) has been ruled out with covid.
8 players in the squad currently have covid...

This time we'll get it right - just believe!

Out of curiosity - does anyone know why Seny keeps getting called "Timothy" Dieng? I've seen it mentioned a few times - even by commentators and wondered if it was a nickname.

Poor research by commentators. He plays for Exeter https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timoth%C3%A9e_Dieng

Now all you need is a big blanket and you have yourself an indoor tent.

Ossie Kakay did the full 90 for Sierra Leone and alongside him one Stephen Caulker. Blimey !
