Re: Quiet on here
I have mostly lurked on this board and it’s previous iterations man and boy!
I’ve always found it to be a great source of info and debate. I think when things have got really heated on here over the last few years the quality of the discussion suffered because some posters just fell into fixed and well rehearsed positions and lost the ability to reason with people they disagreed with.
I couldn’t go anywhere else out of habit. I agree it’s become a bit of touchstone for me over the years.

Re: Quiet on here
Fairly new to this site, I've looked at what's going on without posting as I'm not very good internet wise, but have gradually got better so decided to join up and post a little. I no longer attend games due to health reasons, so rely on TV mostly. Seen some great sides, seen some poor ones since starting out in the mid fifties.

Re: Quiet on here
As Ux said, this site could do with merging the Football and Other Topics forums to encourage more posting. The danger of course would be relapsing to the Left v Right and Woke v Unwoke
arguments.
There were some unpleasant clashes on here which led to a few people being barred and some others calling it a day.
I look forward to a rennaisance on here. It's depressing when days and days go by with no posting.

Re: Quiet on here
I have stopped coming on here as often but still check in from time to time.
It did seem to get quite several years ago for various reasons .
I did get tired of the threads which descended into rows about the same things. I know Funny really as I miss DaveF now.
I was told that Jonno passed also some time ago but have not been able to corroborate that.
Come on you Rs

So sad to hear Jonno has died. Didn't he move overseas some years ago?

Re: Quiet on here
All single issue forums go quiet when whatever they are discussing, in this instance QPR, is doing okay.
There is no relegation battle, no financial crisis, no stand up arguments on the pitch.
In my experience a quiet forum is the sign of a successful team.
It will liven up again if problems start; so for now simply:

QPR is my second team - not many Bristol City fans can say that!

BC, your always welcome on here.....
Now that Nakhi Wells.... Any chance of a cheeky loan till the end of the season?
I was also fancying a cheeky loan of Eze from Palace to help his rehab after his bad injury....

Hi all, have been following this board for years. This topic has prompted me to ‘go active’.
Whilst this isn’t the busiest place, there’s something about it that I prefer to other forums.

Personally, DAVEf will forever be sadly missed.
Question everything.

Re: Quiet on here
This was my first QPR board that I joined. Came here daily and posted a little from time to time.
Like others I now view LFW far more as lots more conversation and all in one place. Thats not to say its better there! Just more going on. (Think VHS and Betamax
)
Unfortunately I have seen it with other forums that 'die a slow death' Once vibrant, posts gradually reduce, 'floating' posters lose interest, means even less posts and in the end nothing. I will make an effort to add more here

Now there is something! Although I was born in Central Middlesex Hospital and spent the first 5 years in Acton, I grew up in Hampshire.WA Hoop wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 9:42 amWelcome 'on board' HampshireRanger from an ex-Hampshire based Ranger.HampshireRanger wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 7:36 pmHi all, have been following this board for years. Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out.
