Who would you rather sign?

I genuinely can't decide, If we had the option to make only one of these permeant, I'd be interested to see how everyone else feels?

I think the vastly improved form of Dykes will make people opt for SJ.

As excellent as they both have been for us, I hope we don't break our wage structure for either of them.

This + the growing influence of Willock as a goal scorer I'd say. The idea of having Austin is great but he might just be a luxury we might not need if Dykes, Chair & Willock are all chipping in with goals.

Then to complicate matters about signing SJ, we also have to consider the returns of Carroll & Amos. No need for all 3 of those.

With all of the above in mind I think we'll end up with Austin and not SJ. As a result I can see opting for Dozzell or Twine (or both of those) instead.

Twine is really a 10 but Dozzell is an 8 or 6 so he's more of a straight replacement for Johansen.

Well it appears that Charlie is only a day or two away from signing, and thus this is moot, but I don't think they have given up on Johansen either.
It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

I have no idea what our wage structure is but hopefully it’s flexible enough to cater for experienced players, talisman’s, outstanding talent and Captains.

Experience is the key in the championship, the hopeful resigning of Wallace (has he) is great news and Charlie has obviously helped Dykes sort his movement off the ball out and you can see the pair look a likely pair of lads up front....

I'd love Johansen but like Nakhi last January, he maybe be a tad to expensive at the moment
2021/2022.... Keep Calm, no matter the season, we'll follow our team.....

Agree. I think some people see the money for Austin in isolation, but the issue is the rest of the squad and their wage demand. We can give hämäläinen a long contract without worrying too much because even a modest fee would cover it. It’s taken a lot of work to get wages under control, and I don’t want to see us throw it away.

...I would like to sign both and it is my impression that Austin could be easier than Johansen....

Agreed, we have to stick to the plan. That said, if it's doable then Johansen for me, he ran the show second half of the season.

Would love both but Charlie is a great striker but time is running out for him whereas Stefan is a quality midfielder in his prime.
