Match Thread : Swansea vs Queens Park Rangers

Post by Devonranger » Tue Apr 20, 2021 1:14 pm

Interesting one tonight - no doubt the bus spotters from Hounslow will be wishing a result for us. Will be good to compete against one of the better sides in the league and see how we fare.

Starting line up would like to see -

Lumley

Kakay
Dickie
Barbet

Adomah
Wallace

Johansen
Field
Chair

Dykes
Austin

Give Willcock a breather for saturday's game with Norwich or split pitch time between him and Chair or one of the strikers.

I think its a matter of whether you change a winning team or not.

For example, I think de Wjis will be fit (and personally I would put him in)

And does Austin come straight back in when we have picked up two good wins without him ?

I'd go:

Lumley
Adomah
Wallace
Dickie
de Wjis
Barbet
Johanson
Field
Chair
Willock
Dykes

Subs: Walsh, Kakay, Kane, Ball, Bettache, Austin, Bonne, Kelman, Hamalainen
Come on you Sooopa ........

Tough one tonight especially with that line up. Can't see us keeping a clean sheet.

I've grave concerns around Ozzie & Nico. I'd like both of them to prove me wrong, but defensively they don't instill much confidence.

Agreed especially Nico. No Field in the middle either. Luckily Ayew is out with a Hammie.

A good performance from us although Kakay is really struggling tonight. Two efforts by Chair off the post but how Swansea failed to score in the dying minutes is a mystery.
Should be a cracking second half with us seemingly well in with a chance.

Team's playing really well thus far. We certainly look the better of the two. Most of their opportunities have come from our mistakes.
The Swanseas commentators on a stream I'm watching said they thought Kakay looked more like a winger than a RB.

At the.moment we are certainly a top six side. If we can.keep this team and add a bit more quality in depth, we will challenge next season!

That was a superb goal, have I just said that about Lyndon Dykes?

Oi Carrot...I trademarked that  Goal machineeeeeeeeeeeee 8) Never have I been happier to be wrong about a player - will hold my tongue in future 8) Apart from the odd aberration, I can't remember us being this good on the road in a long time.

Great result against a top 6 team. Joseph Patrick Lumley came up with a couple of good saves in the first half too.
Nice varied passing from QPR - excellent style to watch.
