Scott Twine who was linked with us had signed for the MK Dons - https://www.mkdons.com/news/2021/june/m ... ott-twine/

We're linked with Alex Pritchard again - https://the72.co.uk/238745/birmingham-c ... pritchard/

Linked with Emiliano Marcondes who was released by that lot down the road, following their promotion. 26yo CAM.

Bit of an odd one as he scored in their playoff final. I guess they've lined up a more expensive player and he's surplus to their requirements? Either that or there's a personality issue.

I can't see where he'd fit in. It won't happen.

Are we all at the moment watching Dykes improve his potential value? :P

Nothing more pathetic than fans who'd rather see a player fail than risk being wrong.

Nothing in football will change - people expect instant development and progress - many good players passed over for this very reason at different levels.

Hoping to see Dykes step on again and Bonne come through as well.

I don’t think playing in the European Championship Finals is going to reduce his value somehow. What’s your beef with him ?
It’s as if he ran over your dog or something.

Satch, I might be wrong but I think you misunderstood Andy.

Dykes missed a good chance but overall did ok.

Satch has it correct I think. It fits in with vitriol Andy's been giving Dykes all season.

Don't have a dog, so he couldn't have done wrong anything there. I don't rate him at all and it's
telling that most commentators after the match yesterday were posing the same questions I've been
all season.

If he scores less than 10 goals next season, I'd consider that unacceptable.

Anyone remember the days when English clubs use to watch the Euros or World Cup looking for that unpolished diamond of a player to sign for the coming season?
2021/2022.... Keep Calm, no matter the season, we'll follow our team.....

Not rocket science, he may have to languish on the bench for a few weeks.
If he's in the team as an advanced midfield resource supporting the front men, then
I see his place in the side, but he's not a striker.

I'm sure you didn't think I'd send him to Tyburn Tree did you?

Alas you are, Andy has had an issue with Dykes all season. Seemingly for not being Ivan Toney. We all have different opinions on players but credit should be given where it's due and it never has been even when Dykes has played well, it's Steptoe-esque put the boot in when he doesn't score (even when he's played well) or silence if he scores. He's not alone in this but so many fans made their mind up about Dykes from the off and it feels like they'd all rather see him fail rather be proven wrong.

It's frustrating as we've all seen how our fans can treat out-of-form players and how counterproductive that can be. The club are obviously working hard to make this team competitive but between that and the hiatus in attendance, i fear expectations are going to be sky high and it's going to get ugly if we don't start the coming season like we finished the last. It would be a real indictment if the common denominator is the fans and we have our best finish in years when we play behind closed doors.
