Means we are not getting Johansen
The media says we are trying really hard to prise Johansen from Fulham so don't give up yet.
What media ?
Mainly Talksport.

Tom Carroll looks set to leave QPR after rejecting the club’s offer of a new contract.

The midfielder, who recently turned 29, was signed on a one-year deal last summer. He subsequently made 22 Championship appearances before his season was ended in January by a knee injury. Carroll returned to action for Rangers’ development side towards the end of the campaign and was an unused substitute for the first team’s final two matches.

He was offered a contract by the club last month along with Charlie Owens, who has been out for almost two years with a knee injury. But Carroll was unhappy with the terms on offer and, although talks are ongoing, it currently seems unlikely that he will be a Rangers player next season.
Genuinely quite surprised by this... Perhaps a blessing in disguise.

On the whole I thought he played very well last season, but I think playing behind closed doors suited him.

The Ipswich fans network site says we're leading the chase for Dozzell but, as with Crowley and Torel, CM is not really a position to which we need to recruit.
Dave Mcs said in the Tom Carroll article we've expressed an interest so that seems more likely at this stage

Yes, saw that too. From what I can gather, Dozzell is quite similar to Carroll.

There are rumours Ball will want to move on if he's going to be a bit part player next season so with the Johansen deal yet to be decided, there's now quite a churn in our CM department.

A little disappointed with Carrol leaving, very tidy player who has a lot to contribute at this level, would have liked to have seen him and Johansen play alongside each other, If and thats a big if we manage to sign him. Saying that freeing up some wages and getting Dozzel in show signs of progression and a vision for the future.

My concern going into next season are the full back positions. Right back being a priority, haven't been linked with many in those positions. A starting right back and cover for Wallace. Be interesting to see how Niko does at the Euros, wonder if he will start games?

Hamalainen was not included in either of the match day squads for Finland's two recent friendlies. It would help QPR to move him on if he did feature in the Euros, assuming they want to, but that can't be a good sign.

I like Carroll and thought he was generally pretty good for us before he got injured last season. That said, I doubt any tears will be shed if he thinks he can do better elsewhere.

As for Hamalainen, he signed a four year contract just eight months ago, so it would be quite an indictment of that decision if we're now thinking about moving him on. Not that I'm saying we are.

Unfortunately Nico hasn't kicked on which is why he's a periphery figure around the team.
You look at Saka at Arsenal and Nico doesn't have the pace or positional awareness not that he's on the same
level but Saka is now the benchmark of a decent left back who's gonna support midfield.

That's a very high bar you've set Andy. I'd be happy if he was just a decent Championship left back.

Isn't Saka a right winger ? Arsenal's left back is Kieran Tierney (who admittedly is also very good).
Come on you Sooopa ........

Don't think so. He said the account was right about Dozzel/Bonne
Only mention from that acct about Bonne is:
ITKQPR wrote:Andre Dozzell and his father had a meeting with Warburton and Les a few days back about his potential signing . No chance of Bonne going the other way

Agreed. Lonergan would be pointless and counter-productive. Put one of the future keepers on the bench and teach him to play out from the back in the 6 months that he is going to have before Seny goes off to the ACN.
With Chair making his debut yesterday for Morocco in a friendly against Ghana, he could be gone for the ACN in Jan 2022 as well. That could dent the creativity of the midfield at a critical time of the season.
