I mean, technically yes we could still make the playoffs.

If we win all remaining games we would end up on 77 points. Only twice in the last 10 seasons would 77 points not have got you in the playoffs.

Losing one game would mean a total of 74. That total would would have you missing out on 6 of the last 10 seasons.

Losing twice would mean a total of 71 and missing out in 8 of the last 10.

Most points for 6th = 80
Least points for 6th = 68 (6th currently 5 points off that)

I'd say we have no chance of reaching the playoffs.

Too late surely but it is good that the league is still interesting for us.

I did smile to myself though when I heard a pundit say that Stoke are still in the race

He presumably had not seen that if we win our game in hand we go above Stoke ssh

No chance in reality but let's hope for some excitement and just imagine if...

Since the turn of the year, we've been picking up an average of 2 pts a game, should we continue to do so we're looking at a very respectable tally of 69 points. If only we had performed anywhere near that level during the first half of the season, then things could have been extremely interesting!
Question everything.

I think we have a slim chance but it is a chance. Win every game and we're there. I wouldn't rule it out until it's mathematically impossible. Football is full of ifs and we as QPR supporters know that better than most. Had we had these same players in place in August we'd probably be pushing the top two now. If we hadn't had a wobble and dropped 9 points against Brum, Barnslaa and Uddersfield then we'd be in the mix now. I feel sorry for MW. He's a good manager and had he had the resources some of his wasteful predecessors had then we'd be right up there, for sure.

It's possible, but not probable.

For it to happen, we would need to go on an unbelievable run, while other teams ahead of us drop points.

Are we ready? Almost certainly not, but hey ho! What will be, will be.

My only request is ... if we either fall short, or get there and fail, this board does not go into meltdown.

Whatever happens between now and the end of May, this has been a very good season.

It certainly has come round to be a good season - still work to be done and the Premier League would be a harsh environment if for any reason it was achieved this season. Watching this group of players achieve a play off place would be remarkable and a deserved reward for all their efforts.

We have some though fixtures ahead in April so my expectations are low - just hope we maintain levels of performance but the squad do seem tuned into this currently.

If we are to convince Charlie & Stefan that QPR is the club for them next season then I think we need to finish this season playing like we might challenge next season. So crack on lads and win as many of the remaining games as possible.

You've got to love the Championship, haven't you? Only 8 games to go, still in with an outside shout of the play offs but not mathematically safe. Brilliant :D
