What's our final transfer window day wish list?

The CM area would benefit from a box to box player with energy and creativity. And, of course, a LB/LWB would also benefit the team. I'd prefer loans for these two positions at this stage, unless there's a hidden gem or two we just unearthed.

In terms of loans out, I'm still hoping Bettache gets one as I feel his development is being hindered by sitting on the bench this season. There are numerous U23s who should be loaned out such as Amrit Bansal-McNulty, Stephen Duke-McKenna and Joe Gubbins but, with non-leagues from National North and South and below currently suspended, opportunities are limited.
I'd agree that another central midfielder and a left back would be desirable, if not essential. Those are obvious weak areas in the current (available) squad and not addressing them now, given where we are in the league, could turn out to be costly.

In other news, social media is suggesting that we've turned down a loan request from Forest for Joe Lumley. Maybe we're hoping to persuade them to offer a permanent move and a fee.
Are headphones getting bigger, or are idiots getting smaller ?

It's on Sky Sports Transfer Centre. Makes sense to reject a loan move and try to get a permanent, he only has 6 months left on his contract.
Tbh, I'm surprised they're looking at him.

Sam Field confirmed on BBC:-

Championship club Queens Park Rangers have signed West Bromwich Albion midfielder Sam Field on loan until the end of the campaign.

The 22-year-old has made five appearances for the Baggies this season, but has not featured since the defeat at Southampton in October.

An England Under-20 international, Field played 18 times during a stint at Charlton Athletic last season.

He becomes QPR's fifth signing of the transfer window.
This time we'll get it right - just believe!

It looks like Sam Field will compete with Ball and Johansen for the DCM/CM slots. This should mean we won't see Cameron in that position again regardless of formation which is a positive. The negative is Bettache is pushed down the pecking order.

Sam Field's reportedly 6'1" and 65kg (according to Fifa). 65kg - he must be a flipping stick. How is he a CDM?
