Personally I don't think that 'Up to' one million pounds for a 27 year old, not injury prone, Championship first team regular is anywhere near good enough. At least we didn't gift wrap him and tie a bow around his neck like we did with Bonne.

Seems to me that the club needed half a million quid pretty pronto. With two months to go until the season starts who is to say that other clubs might not have been interested in Dickie?

Roll up, Roll up the Queens Park Rangers Fire Sale has begun but if you want Illias Chair you have to take The Director of Football as well.

Those National League clubs will be upping their prices as we go hunting for replacements.

Tony Fernandes, the gift that keeps on giving. pribbling idle-headed giglet
Unfortunately, with a year left on his contract and after the season he has just had, that's what he's worth. Buying and selling players is always a risk, and had he scored just a couple of screamers last season it would have strengthened our hand. He hasn't looked happy all season, and if he wanted to go, really our only option was to cut our losses - which would only have increased in the coming months. In 12 months time he would have walked for free.

I think he had to leave. This club seems to have wrung the life out of him.
Obviously, he's the first of many - well quite a few. Sadly we're not going to get much for them either.

Compared to our "new" signing, Taylor Richards, he's a man of steel.

Tim Iroegbunam posted videos of himself playing for us with the caption “Warmzin! we go harder next season” lots of likes from players inc from Jimmy Dunne who replied with “Can’t wait to have you back mate x”

Make of all that what you will.

I heard a rumour this week Villa were interested in Chair. Maybe this is related to that?

Whatever happens we definitely need some energy in midfield.

I’d be surprised, they’ve got a few attacking midfielders on the books already. They’ll also be targeting a top 6 finish next year.

On his day TI is wonderful to watch but not surprisingly given his age, we also saw many days that weren’t his and how anonymous he can, especially defensively. I’m not sure where he’d fit into what we expect from a GA side tbh. I would however find it heartening that anyone from last year might willingly return though.

A very good point. So much negativity surrounding our club at the moment, rumours of unhappy players although going by the reaction of the majority of the squad at Stoke I am not sure how true that is.

Most of the players nearing the end of their contracts with us will want to leave as other clubs can offer them a much higher salary which is a different issue altogether.

Millwall reportedly bid £2m for Dykes. Stoke also interested.

According to that ... "we are open to offers for Chris Willock".

A real shame, but I think understandable.

Well, if reports are to be believed, we only trigged the 1 year contract extension so we could get some money from him instead of him walking on a free. If he is going to run it down anyway, might as well grab what we can now.

I do fear we (us fans) might need to start turning up with boots at this rate, there is going to be no playing staff left by the start of the new season.
