I would keep him ...

He improved (when he played) towards the end of the season. I also think last year was a transition, and with a full pre-season and working to Mark Hughes' ways rather than switching mid season we could see something a bit special from him next season.

Having said that, if it doesn't go well from August, there's always the January window.

I have a hunch though SWP is due a really good season, and I think it will start for him on 18th August 2012!

I would, especially if we get Hoillett.

Has been bounced about that he's on 50k a week. Obviously not a first choice as we saw last season. With the players we've been getting in, I'd say get rid... especially if we get Hoillet.

Some decent performances, but to few and far between. Take an offer!

Get rid and replace with a young hungry player like Hoilett.

Don't discount the number of assists he had last season.

Yes I would cash in too. Didn't do nearly enough last season, although to be fair he played out of position a lot.

With all these new players coming in there needs to be some tough decisions about players going in the other direction. Sorry Shaun, but this is one of them.

I'd keep him until January. Then we'll know the injury situation, the ACN situation, we'll have Barton back, and of course by then it's very possible that SWP will have held down a regular place. Too early to decide now. Wait until end of August is approaching at least.

Cash in. Likeable player but too lightweight for the Prem. Got unstuck against every mid-field and defence he came up against last season.

I've always liked SWP and was over the moon when we signed him. He has had a poor season, I think it could've been different if his legit screamer against WBA hadn't been ruled out. I think he deserves another chance, as someone has said, with a pre-season under Hughes behind him. He was a very good player once let's not forget, and he's not old enough for that to just have disappeared entirely.

I'm with you on this one. If we got Hoilett or another speedy winger he would be an great player as a mentor. Great attitude, just had an average season towards the end.
