The judge will decide at 2pm whether the case is to be dismissed. Sounds like the prosecution have made a pig's ear of the case.

Maybe Terry and the Magistrates have a few other people's wives/girlfriends in common and this has just come to the Magistrates' attention.

As I said yesterday, putting 5 days aside for a case where, if found guilty, the maximum penalty is £2.5k, is just ridiculous.

Magistrates been asked to consider the question. I suspect getting the case dismissed is Terry's best hope of navigating around a guilty virdict. So, his legal team have to go for it.

All this legal stuff amazes me. What seems like a nice binary 'did he, didn't he', suddenly takes a tangent into obscure subtleties that get you even doubting if you can be sure you know what day of the week it is!!

I hate to admit it, but it is a very clever defence, and probably the only defence, they could come up with. However, they were given an extra 6mths to come up with it!

All along, the Terry camp have made this into an "Anton v Terry" case.
I can't believe the magistrate will fall for that.

It's pretty simple- an off duty police officer reported the incident to the police and the CPS decided to prosecute Terry.

I'm surprised it even got to court to be honest!
