|
|
I've just heard some tremendous news on Faurlin regarding his recovery.
The person has asked to remain anonymous, but he has a very close tie with Faurlin. The fitness/recovery work is going much better than anticipated. Ali is already putting in some very heavy work on the running side by the sounds of it.
He will be joining in pre-season training with everyone else and will be fit for the opening game against Swansea. Personally, my gut feeling was that he wouldn't be fit enough to start the season... But it looks like he will.
Obviously the club haven't officially put anything out there regarding his fitness as yet, but it's looking extremely promising for him. _________________ Isle Of Wight R'ssssssssss |

If true, marvellous news. Like a new signing almost. Just hope he can recreate his form from before, will take him time to get match-sharp of course. _________________ @C1882 |

Agreed, tremendous if it is true. Not least of all for Ale himself, who comes across as a terrific fella.
We so missed his passing, strength, determination and agression in midfield for so long last season. _________________ www.indyrs.co.uk

For me, this is as good a peice of news as the signings of Park and Diakite. _________________

Thanks SM for this post, I know you wouldn't have put that up unless it is true. Great news, I totally agree as good as a new signing! _________________ All or nothing! |

Tremendous news. Maybe he'll be joining in with everyone as soon as they're back from the Asia tour. _________________

Why wouldn't he go on the tour? _________________

Cheers angloraider.
I definitely wouldn't have put it up if I had any reason to doubt it wasn't true. I would assume he will be observed for a short period of time, then join in training with the other players over the coming few days
Agree with the comments as well - he will be like a new signing once he returns. _________________ Isle Of Wight R'ssssssssss |

They leave for Thailand today with the first match on Saturday. I can't see any reason to leave Ale out of the the trip. Even if he doesn't feature heavily in the matches he can still train. _________________

That's not quite true ...
I actually spoke to him on Sunday and he told me, yes he was beginning running but wasnt sure about pre season ... thinks that may be a bit early .. Admittedly his English was not great...
He was generally optimistic though and his rehab was going well.
Genuinely nice guy ,,, |

Faurlin's performance against Man City at LR last season was one of the best things I have ever seen.
Just a fraction of what he did on that day would be very, very welcome.
My fingers are crossed that the combination of Samba & Ale works like a dream. |

Fair play skyranger.
With respect, I don't know how much of that has been lost in translation as he has said on his Twitter that he's been doing intense training sessions followed by gym work for about a month now, so I don't think he has only just started running.
The next couple of days should give us a better idea of where he is at physically. Let's wait & see. _________________ Isle Of Wight R'ssssssssss |

With the nature of his injury he may have been using a Zero G running machine just to relearn the muscle movements and not put too much strain on the recovering tissues. I have no inside knowledge of his rehab but this is becoming a standard, albeit expensive, bit of kit in cases like this. I wonder if we still have Ray Wilkins' oxygen chamber still _________________ It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope. |
