We're having a bowl.

Bairstow and Bresnan in, Finn and Onions miss out.

Personally, I would have played Onions. I would like to see him get more match practice since his injury, particularly against weaker opposition. He did very well for Durham at Lords the other week too.

Think that any of our quicks could do a decent job what with the conditions and against a team pretty inexperienced in playing in England. Personally would have liked to see Finn get a go.

Will be interesting to see if there is any difference in the side when we face SA, maybe Bresnan, due to his superior batting ability will get the nod.

Fair play to the Windies this morning. I want this young Bravo to do well, he looks great.

That spinner they have out in the IPL, Narine, looks amazing as well. Hope he comes over for the ODIs.

That Chandepaul is proving as difficult as ever to get out. Could be a few low scores if he doesn't fire.

I like Bresnan, he can bat too.
good against the breeze bowler.

Chanderpaul is doing just what Chanderpaul does. And very well too. I don't think Strauss will fancy batting as early as he's likely too today but the rest of the English batting should be enough to secure us a decent first innings lead.

We really do have an embarrassment of riches in the bowling department, though. Finn, Onions, Panesar and (possibly) the Tattooed Jadey would walk into any international team bar South Africa.

I wonder if Prior will be tempted to have a 'yes, no, sorry' moment with young Bairstow?

The summer could hinge upon Anderson v Kallis & Amla and Steyne against Pietersen and Cook. Good times.

I am relishing the arrival of the Saffers. Amla has looked so good the last few years, Kallis is probably the best all-rounder ever (I think we've mentioend that before) and Steyn still has to be one of the most frighteningly good pace bowlers in the world. That tour is going to eb excellent.

Ideal start for England today. This attack isn't bad though, I'm expecting some very quick bowling.

We'll win the first two Tests then let the Windies win or draw one.

Sooooo predictable Razz

The weather might help them draw one but I just can't see this Windies team beating England.

Shame Cookie dragged it on to his stumps.... They are looking good out there today.

Anyone off to the SA series? I quite fancy it now footy season is over.

Wonderful! I'll be surprised if England even have to chase 100.

Get a day of fine weather tomorrow and I honestly don't think we'll bat again.

Great day today! Got a proper match on now. I know one of our wickets was Anderson, but I'd still be happy if I was the Windies.

This is why the 20/20 is killing Test cricket. Gayle should be playing and there's only three Tests against South Africa.
