Can't believe that there has been no mention yet of the spectacular, graceful red kites who were circling the M40 idly somewhere near Oxford.
Top birds. |

Quite common in Northamptonshire, after getting re-introduced a little while back (I think). Majestic _________________ @C1882 |

There was a time you would only see them around High Wycombe but they have certainly proliferated these last few years and long may it continue, beautiful birds. _________________ It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope. |

brought back by one of the Getty family on their estate at Wormsley (I think) which is near Ibstone/Stokenchurch about 25 years back. There are loads of them now and spreading too. _________________ I am a Gloryhunter First Class, have been for over 35 years. |

Perhaps we could meet up near Oxford with a shotgun, camping stove and full bodied (but reasonably priced) Red?
Maybe there's a versatile unemployed Pheasant plucker out there who'd care to join us? Or the offspring of one? |

There are lots of spreading birds around the Essex area. _________________ If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation. |
