It was a bit like that, Tina. There were 6 women in our group but, overall, it was a bit of a nerd-fest. Great though. There were about 8 beers from Itchen Valley and Irvings at £2 a pint. Hauled by a 9F. A home-made curry for a fiver. It really was a top, top evening. I thoroughly recommend it.
And thankyou for the kind wishes. I actually qualified for SAGA on Dydd Gŵyl Dewi and that was the penultimate celebration. The last one is supping anale that a mate as had brewed for me. Bit of a theme there ...

And if you want to take me on a trip on the dining train, I shan't say no.

For a moment I thought that was a pic of the Weld crew. There are some real ringers there... _________________

Guess again, luckily I have more hair on my head than most of that lot! Strangely I have never been in there and not seen the beardie at the back, I think he's more pickled than the eggs! _________________ "I have always thought in the back of my mind cheese and onions". |

It sounds a tip-top place. 7 ales ... 4 is the most we've got in a single place in Devizes, JDW excepted. There's a pub I sometimes stop off at on a Friday that has 12 but the landlord is a bog fan of a rather unpleasant club and the bar is adorned with picture of cads and bounders. _________________ I'm Ray Gardner. Good god man, not Wolverbast....! Enough to put Le Juge of his beer in far away Norfolk!
Can I add Don, they rather conveniently run the beers in a line from the weakest to the strongest, it helps as the night goes on as some of the older clientèle can forget where they've got to! _________________ "I have always thought in the back of my mind cheese and onions". |
