http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/QPR-hope-3m-a-year-salary-offer-will-convince-Shaun-Wright-Phillips-join-from-Man-City-in-2m-move-article787438.html

£55k pw is a hell of a lot of dosh and would blow any current wage structure out of the water. I suppose that's what you have to pay an average PL player, but are such wages sustainable at little old QPR?

Hope not. This is the kind of crazyness our little club should stay swatch from. I find our current wage cap sound, and we should be able to find good player that fit in now we again can pay transfer fees. Dont rate swp anyway....look at Hull what happened to them when they tried to act as big spenders, they are suffering years ahead.

If we are going to pay that amount per week for a player, then I'd want more guaranteed bang for my bucks then Arnold.

Rather than spending that ... I'd say to Lee Cook, you have until Christmas to prove your sustained fitness and your value to the team.

If you come through ... Great! Everyone's a winner, if not, we'll be looking to bring someone in during January and move you out either on loan or on a permenent contract.

You can't say fairer than that, and it's sound financial management too.

It's not going to happen, Zenith. Cook's not going to make it with us in the PL. It would be far better for him to get a move to a Championship club than hang on here.

SWP? I think they had their day back in the early 80s to be honest. Little more than a student protest group these days Wink
