Bonne doesn't score many, but his few goals have earned us some valuable points. Think he is a better finished than Dykes. Charlie is Charlie of course. Welcome back fella 8)

I'll be stunned if a PL club doesn't come in for Dickie in the summer.

Well I'm not used to this, comfortable away win, but essentially
the difference was Austin able to score in the 1st half.

Similar performance to the last 7 or so games but a good goalscorer
does make a difference for sure.

When Albert was bearing down on goal all I was thinking was make your pass good!! Thankfully he did and Bonne finished nicely.

Agree on Dickie and Dieng too.

Yes, Dickie was intrepid tonight. A very good performance all round. A further three points v Wycombe and things will look a lot brighter. Onwards and upwards.

Just got a bit misty eyed and wondered what might have been if Charlie could be playing with Eze!

Disagree, there were some below par performances too, but
first Charlie scored and second Luton are a very poor side.

Great result with a clean sheet too. Kakay to come back too.

Plenty of scope for development in players in the squad, and Charlie's experience and quality could be the catalyst to kick this team on.

Agree Luton were very poor, but who cares just the result we need to kick start the season. Always believed there was a good team to develop and really want to give MW the time to do so. Confused as to why Willock doesn’t get in the team, feel he could play in Chairs position who looks like he could do with a rest. Would much rather see him come on instead of Adomah. Saying that good pass from him last night and a assured finish from Bonne, he made it look easy but the ball was bobbling along the surface, took it very well.

Bring on Wycombe, let’s get a high scoring win. Link up play between Austin and Dykes looked very encouraging, would love to see Dykes get amongst the goals. Then it’s away to Cardiff and home to Derby expecting points from all these.

Well of course. We won, so the opposition must be shit.

We won, imparting an increasingly unfamiliar feeling of joy and boy does it feel good!

Hopefully, we can back this result up and MW will get the time he deserves to continue with the (hard) task in hand. I really want him to succeed as I can't bear the thought of more managerial upheaval and the inevitable lack of progress it tends to yield.

Also, it was great to hear MW deliver a different type of post match interview!

Yep, it was nice to get that feeling again. I don't know if we will succeed in the way some people want with MW but getting rid of him would, I feel, be a mortal wound to what the club is trying to achieve. I am certain that Ruben won't be swayed by populist clamouring the way that TF has been in the past so MW will have the backing of the owner this time.

I must admit I was genuinely surprised at how palpable the 'Austin effect' was last night. Would we have got any result last night without him? Quite possibly not.

Although we have been playing fairly good football recently, albeit without results, last night the whole team looked sharper than it has done for some time. Austin's quality of movement and some lovely little lay offs gave us a keener edge upfront and his influence on Dykes was clearly a positive one.

When Austin was announced I prepared myself for disappointment. This kind of thing can so often become a big let down. I will continue to keep a lid on my hopes. After all, it's just one game. However, maybe, just maybe, the 'Austin effect' might be the turning point of the season.
