I checked out a message board for Palace fans and found this comment today:

"Not sure if I'm getting carried away but I feel like Eze is an icon in the making. Bloke floats about like he's got wheels in his boots. Rolls Royce phantom wheels.
The way he makes himself available and calmly does something class 99 times out of 100, I think we've got someone here to be very excited about."

Not sure that Roy Hodgson shares that confidence. We shall see.

I was having that conversation with someone who thought Eze was basically lazy and disappeared out of games all the time. IMO he plays like he has the ability to stop time without disrupting the flow of play and has the vision to make the best of that ability.

Would Eze get into a Liverpool, City, PSG or Real/Atletico Madrid? I suspect not since his pace isn't searing or his chasing
back prolific. Is he lazy - no, am I a fan of his - big time, if Palace had any sense they'd build their midfield around him as
we did. Watching him yesterday shows how much high quality we're missing, I suspect like most Rangers fans it's like seeing
a favourite son leave home and flourishing.

I don't remember Iniesta having wheels either but it didn't stop him. A few years under his belt at his current level could see him dominating games with just his vision and passing. He is also not as slow as you think; watch back his goals from last season with us and you can see him making up a lot of space in a quick time to support attacks and a few like Hull & Stoke where he just left defenders in his wake.

Eze is proving he can attack in the Prem, but can he defend? It's too early to be definitive but in yesterday's game he racked up the most tackles of any Palace player, and by some margin.
